About Me

I work with clients through private self referrals, referrals from the commercial & public sector through Employee Assistance programmes and as one of the counsellors working at Safety Net Advice & Support Centre in Carlisle which is a service offering therapeutic support to children, young people and their families who have experienced rape, sexual or domestic abuse.

I continually strive to develop my knowledge and experience and have also trained in Solution Focused Brief Therapy and have attended workshops including about working with people who self harm, young people who have been raped or sexually abused and about adult survivors of childhood sexual abuse. In 2010 I will complete my BACP Accreditation, Advanced Person-Centred Skills training as well as Mentorship & Assessment for Learners in Practice training.

I am a member of the British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP) and work within their Ethical Framework for Good Practice in Counselling & Psychotherapy. I hold Professional Liability Insurance.

Each session lasts 1 hour. My fee is £38 per session for private clients.

I do offer a concessionary rate for those on a low income. Fees are payable at the end of each session. I do charge full fee for cancellations of less than 24 hours or non-attendance. Please ask about my rates for EAP referrals.
